Transition to Democracy sullied by xenophobia – Archbishop Emeritus Tutu
The Desmond & Leah Tutu Legacy Foundation has joined a host of religious leaders to condemn the recent spate of xenophobia attacks saying this reflects the state of South Africa’s callousness and poverty.
Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu said the rainbow nation that so filled the world with hope is being reduced to a grubby shadow of itself more likely to make news for gross displays of callousness than the glory that defined our transition to democracy under Nelson Mandela.
