Advocacy for Societal Healing
Using our voice and convening power to host conversations and dialogue on the key issues of global conflict, violence in South African society, and the work of the afterlife of South Africa’s transition to democracy.

Programmes
Courageous Conversations & Dialogues
We recognise that conversations and dialogues are essential to transformative justice. We aim to collectively examine the root causes of violence in our society, its impact today, and the collective work needed to bring about meaningful change for a just and equitable future. Through roundtable discussions, creative storytelling, panel discussions, and workshops, we explore various aspects of justice work, fostering dialogue and collaboration for collective action and progress.

Programmes
Solidarity Series
Reflecting on South Africa’s fight for freedom, we recognise our duty to stand in solidarity with others facing similar struggles around the world, in contemporary times. Our objective is to hold space for conversations that connect – while bringing awareness through knowledge sharing, inspiring action, and shared solidarity – for the sake of promoting peace-building and advancing initiatives that promote justice around the world.

Leading for Humanity
We bring together diverse groups of leaders from across society to do the
work of self-repair for societal repair – by exploring the values of compassion, ubuntu, forgiveness, courage, and justice.

Advocacy for Societal Healing
At the heart of our work is the mission to extend Archbishop Tutu’s commitment to societal healing, so powerfully demonstrated through chairing the South African Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
• Reconciliation, through which we keep trying to find each other across divides;
• Reparation, through which we collectively take action against injustice and oppression; and
• Reimagination, through which we reimagine who we can be together as a society.
We do this through courageous conversations, healing methodologies, and deep dialogue work to strengthen democracy, tackle violence and conflict, and build our shared humanity.
