Manager: Leading for Humanity

Jacob Meiring joined the Foundation in early 2020, bringing over 15 years of expertise in research-based learning and narrative therapy. He integrates embodied meaning-making into program development and currently manages the Leading for Humanity programme. Jacob believes that hope, especially as embodied by young people, is a powerful act of resistance against despair. A career highlight for Jacob was completing his doctoral studies in Theological Anthropology at the Free University (VU) in Amsterdam. He is also a published author of various articles and papers, exploring themes such as Ubuntu, Desmond Tutu, embodiment, and social justice. Jacob aspires to remain curious, creative, and connected in his work and life.
