Justin van Lienden

Justin van Lienden is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Financial Analyst, with 23 years’ experience. Justin is responsible for the leading the Adept Group as Managing Director across its three offices in London, Johannesburg and Cape Town. The Adept Group incorporates entities providing Risk Advisory, Finance & Operations, Digital and Accounting solutions.

Justin started his career in Big 4 public accounting, where he gained experience in finance, IT, risk and control as a business assurance manager in Johannesburg and Toronto. After leaving public accounting, he worked predominately in the Financial Services industry, internationally in London, New York and Singapore, as well as locally in South Africa. He gained extensive hands-on management experience in Business Transformation, Mergers & Acquisitions, Project Management, Process Improvement and Operational Risk.

Justin co-founded Adept Advisory in 2007, initially building and leading the firm’s Finance & Operations practice across Financial Services, Resources and Private Equity sectors. He is also the firm’s M&A subject-matter-expert and has delivered assignments across sub-Saharan Africa.
